I want to put my hot sauce in

Everything.    Plan on making a pretty fair amount of hot sauce.   You'll need to be able to supply enough hot sauce for each  judge to have a sample and for attendees to also be able to try.  We have no idea how many attendees to expect.  You are welcome to sell bottles of your hot sauce.

There will be a $20 fee per hot sauce entered.  This will be paid on the morning of the event.

This year we'll be providing tables (and maybe chairs) for everyone entering the contest.  We won't really know where any specific hot sauces will be setup until we actually start setting up on the morning of the contest

Each entry will be judged by a panel of at least 5 judges and will be scored from 1-10 on these 5 categories:

1. APPEARANCE
2. AROMA
3. FLAVOR
4. TEXTURE
5. USE OF HEAT

The highest average score (total points scored divided by the number of judges) will be the winner

There are NO cash prizes this year.

Custom trophies for First, Second, and Third place.

There will also be a People’s Choice Award. Each paid entrant will receive a ballot form. They can choose their favorite hot sauce and return the ballot to the entry desk. Whoever gets the most votes wins a People's Choice Trophy.

• All product sampling will be conducted under the strictest of standards using fair, impartial and blind judging methods. 
• Each entry will supply a sample of their hot sauce in the containers provided for the judges (1 sample per judge) to a "Collector" who will assign a random letter to the sample. 
• Neither the Judges nor the Entrant will know the letter that corresponds to their sample.
• Each hot sauce entry is judged in a blind tasting using a lettered sample cup  to represent each entry. Judges are not allowed to see any indication of the brand, owner, or manufacturer of the product.
• Each entry shall be scored on its own merits with a whole number from 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest. No pluses (+), minuses (-), fractions (1/2) or decimals (.5) will be taken into consideration. 
• Each entry must be scored by a minimum of five judges. Score sheets are then tabulated by calculating the total score for each entry and dividing by the number of judging sheets for each product to obtain an overall average score.
• The decision of the judges is final and may not be contested.
• Once the judges have tallied everything up the winning "letters" will be submitted back to the "Collector" who will assign the actual names and provide to the emcee for announcement and payment of prizes.

Because we freakin' love hot sauce and we're really really tired of not being able to do anything for a couple of years.  We're not professional promoters and we've never done anything like this before other than judging and entering past contests.  We want to have some fun and raise a few bucks for an amazing cause.  100% of the entry and attendee fees will go Project Promise VI.
